It was recently revealed that five password-protected laptop computers that contained personal information of registered voters in Robeson County were stolen in September. The names, addresses, dates of birth, and the last four digits of voters Social Security numbers were exposed. Those who were affected were mailed letters on September 12, 2012. Disclosure of personal information such as social security information is unlawful, and we have brought lawsuits on behalf of victims of such disclosures in the TRICARE/SAIC, Zappos, Sutter Health and Saint Joseph data breaches.
