Roughly 60,154 General Motors vehicles have been recalled for blank instrument panel displays. Certain 2024 Buick Encore GX, Envista, and Chevrolet Trax vehicles possess software in the Virtual Cockpit Unit Module (VCU) may cause the instrument panel display to intermittently go blank at vehicle startup or while driving. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has published information on this recall for consumers. GM is aware of 255 complaints globally of instrument panel blackout received from May 12, 2023 to September 25, 2023. These errors are a hazard to consumers’ lives.
