Yale New Haven Health, a Connecticut-based health system, recently confirmed a data breach that involved a third-party’s unauthorized access to the personal and protected health information of almost 5.6 individuals.  An investigation discovered the unauthorized third-party accessed Yale New Haven Health’s network and stole copies of patient data in early March 2025. 

The breach exposed patients’ sensitive and personal information including names in combination with one or more of the following: address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, race/ethnicity, patient type, medical record number, and/or Social Security number.
