Sunscreens are supposed to keep families and children safe from ultraviolet radiation. They are especially important right now, during the hot summer months. Because sunscreen is so important, people trust that manufacturers will comply with the law when they produce them. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. SnugZ USA, Inc was recently cited by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for violating federal law. The FDA stated SnugZ sunscreens contain fake ingredients, lie about the strength of their active ingredients, and contain what the FDA calls “objectionable microorganisms.”
The affected products include SnugZscreen customizable sunscreens, Naawk Aloe Relief Gel + Lidocaine, Unscented SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion, and Coconut Breeze SPF 50 Fill, among others.
By law, SnugZ USA is required to provide accurate dosage information for the active ingredients on their sunscreens and to only release their sunscreens after sufficient testing for microorganisms. By failing to do so, SnugZ USA appears to have violated the law and recklessly exposed its customers to unsafe products. If you have bought any of SnugZ sunscreens, you could be at risk.
