It’s been discovered that Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores did not remove this lead-contaminated product from its shelves months after being notified of the recall.

In October of 2023, Wanabana USA initiated a voluntary recall of its apple cinnamon fruit puree pouches and notified stores, including Dollar Tree and Family Dollar.  However, subsequent recall audit checks at these stores revealed that the WanaBana Apple Cinnamon Fruit Puree pouches were still on shelves for purchase, months later.  These stores knowingly put your child at risk of exposure to high levels of lead by continuing to sell this contaminated product.

Testing on WanaBana Cinnamon Apple Puree pouches revealed a lead concentration of more than 200 times greater than FDA’s proposed guidelines for fruit purees and similar products.
