As we have repeatedly noted, identity theft is a multi-billion dollar problem. Many companies have responded to this threat by upgrading their security procedures. However, some companies and agencies continue to put people at risk. NASA just admitted that it suffered a large data breach that exposed the sensitive information of many NASA employees and contractors.
NASA’s employees and contractors had a right to expect that the confidential information they shared with NASA would not be exposed.
