Sephora Expedited Shipping Refund

When consumers are done shopping for their beauty products at Sephora.com and proceed to checkout, they are given 4 delivery options: (i) Standard 3 Day: $5.95 (Up to 3 business days. Delivery Monday-Friday); (ii) UPS 2nd Day Air: $9.95 (2-3 business days. Delivery Monday-Friday); (iii) UPS Next Day Air Saver: $16.95 (1-2 business days. Delivery Monday-Friday); and (iv) USPS Priority: $6.95 (All states: 2-4 business days.  Delivery Monday-Saturday).

The Standard 3 Day shipping options is discounted from $5.95 to free when the purchase is in excess of $50.00.  So what happens when a consumer pays extra for expedited delivery, but the package fails to arrive within the time period advertised?  Surely Sephora credits the consumer the difference between what he or she paid for expedited delivery and the standard rate.  Unfortunately, at least in the case of one consumer, the answer appears to be no.

According to one Sephora.com customer, Sephora does not credit the consumer and instead blames UPS and directs consumers to seek a refund from them.  However, when consumers ask UPS for a refund, they claim that they cannot assist the consumer because Sephora and not the consumer is the UPS customer.

With the companies pointing their fingers at each other, the consumer is given the cold shoulder. If you purchased beauty products from Sephora.com and paid for expedited shipping that you did not receive, please contact us to discuss your legal rights.
