As we reported previously, Saint Joseph Health, a major healthcare provider in California, wrongly disclosed the personal heath information of over 30,000 patients. Saint Joseph’s disclosure resulted in highly confidential medical information being posted on the internet. Victims of the disclosure include patients at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, Petaluma Valley Hospital, Queen of the Valley and patients in Saint Joseph facilities in Fullerton and Mission Viejo.
Our attorneys recently brought suit on behalf of Danna Graewingholt and a class of victims of the breach. Ms. Graewingholt first learned of the breach because her son googled her and then stumbled across her confidential medical information, which Saint Joseph had unlawfully posted on the internet.
