Artic Zero 150 Calorie Ice Cream May Have More Calories Than Advertised

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.  Now imagine an ice cream with only 150 calories per pint and how loud the screams become then.  Well that is what Arctic Zero has been selling and consumers have been buying, sitting down to eat these 150 calorie pints by the ice cream truckload.  Unfortunately, as is the case with most things that seem too good to be true, Arctic Zero’s calorie claims appear to be false.

Results of laboratory tests as reported by multiple media outlets revealed that Arctic Zero’s Vanilla Maple flavor had 46% more calories than stated on the label and the Chocolate Peanut Butter had 68% more calories – for a total of 252 calories per pint. While amazingly, under FDA guidelines, products are permitted to contain up to 20 percent more calories than what is listed on the label, if the laboratory results for Arctic Zero’s ice creams are to be believed, they have far exceeded the allowed for margin of error and have been misleading consumers into thinking they were eating a low calorie ice cream when in fact they were not.
