Honda has announced a recall of approximately 330,318 vehicles with unbound side-view mirrors. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) notes “the heating pads behind both side-view mirrors may not be bonded properly, allowing the mirror glass to detach”. Such a defect will restrict driver visibility and increase the risk of crashing. Rear visibility appears as Number 111 of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard requirements regulated by NHTSA. Honda is in clear violation of these safety requirements.

The attorneys at Finkelstein, Blankinship, Frei-Pearson & Garber, LLP have successfully prosecuted numerous consumer protection actions. If you or someone you know owns one of these vehicles, please contact us immediately so we can discuss this matter with you.
