Robitussin cough syrups are intended to provide temporary relief for symptoms of cold or flu, hay fever, or other respiratory allergies. According to a notice posted by the FDA on January 24th, due a microbial contamination, Haleon is recalling eight lots of its cough syrup: Robitussin Honey CF Max Day Adult and Robitussin Honey CF Max Nighttime Adult. The notice instructed consumers who purchased these products to stop consuming them immediately, and to contact their physician or healthcare provider if they have experienced any related problems.

For non-immunocompromised consumers, a resulting infection that may necessitate medical intervention is possible, although likely not life-threatening. For immunocompromised consumers, however, use of this product may potentially result in severe or life-threatening conditions such as fungemia (fungus in the blood) or disseminated fungal infection.

The attorneys at Finkelstein, Blankinship, Frei-Pearson & Garber, LLP have successfully represented consumers who suffered from the use of harmful products.
